‘Alen Simonian Called Hayk Marutyan a ‘Parasite’. Now I’ve Seen It All!’ Ioannissyan Criticizes Simonian

Daniel Ioannissyan, coordinator of the IKM and member of the Public Council, wrote on his Facebook page: ‘Alen Simonian called Hayk Marutyan a ‘parasite’. Now I’ve seen it all!

During the Revolution, Hayk Marutyan played a more significant role than Alen Simonian. However, Marutyan maintained certain principles to a degree, while Simonian simply came to hold the ‘desirable’ power.

After the revolution, Alen Simonian ensured the promotion of his businessman friends, the adoption of laws favorable to them, and the non-adoption of laws that did not serve their interests. At the same time, Simonian secured a significant part of the media wing, which was coupled with zero principledness.

For instance, in the beginning, Alen Simonian was very close with Artur Vanetsyan. Later, when Vanetsyan was ousted, Simonian sharply changed his views to avoid being associated with his former friend.

As a result of all this, Alen Simonian became the Vice President of the National Assembly, and later the President as well. Meanwhile, he also became wealthy. In contrast to some decent individuals who came to office as a result of the revolution and began receiving less than they did previously and spending their savings, Alen Simonian inexplicably and unaccountably became rich.

After all this, will Alen Simonian support those who defend revolutionary values?’
