Criminal Case Launched Regarding Controversial Brawl in the National Assembly

On December 7, 2021, a criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the National Security Service of Armenia in connection with the incident that took place in the National Assembly. This case was opened under Article 258, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code, which addresses hooliganism committed by a group of individuals or an organized group with the use of violence against a person.

Lawyer Benik Galstyan wrote about this on his Facebook page. “I am hopeful that the conducting authority will carry out an objective investigation,” Galstyan stated.
