Armed Man Takes Two Women Hostage in Paris, Arrested

Paris police have arrested a man who took two women hostage on Monday. According to TASS news agency, this was reported on the Twitter page of France's Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin.

He stated that there were no victims in the incident. Darmanin thanked the metropolitan police and special forces for their swift response.

It is noted that the armed man had taken two women hostage at a shop located in the eastern part of Paris the previous evening.

The police do not consider the incident to be related to terrorism. Around midnight local time (03:00 Yerevan time), authorities managed to free one of the hostages, while the second woman was released by the man himself before his arrest.
