Quarantine in Artsakh to be Extended, but Some Restrictions Will Be Lifted: Artak Beglaryan Details

Artak Beglaryan, the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, issued a statement.

“Dear compatriots,

I would like to inform you that a draft decision is being developed by the Artsakh government to extend the current quarantine starting from December 24, with the easing of certain significant conditions, taking into account the significant decrease in cases of coronavirus spread and the negative impact of restrictions on various sectors of societal life.

In particular, it is planned to lift the quantitative restrictions for gatherings and events, and classes will be conducted in educational institutions in the usual mode and with the full staff. Additionally, options are being discussed to modify the frequency of testing requirements for the unvaccinated and to reduce the cost of the tests.

When the final decision is confirmed in the coming days, the new conditions will be published.

In any case, the requirement for the use of personal protective equipment and the recommendation for vaccination remain in force. I am personally not satisfied with the level of adherence to these two measures, and I strongly urge our citizens to be attentive to their own health and the health and life of those around them by following safety rules and getting vaccinated.

I also urge people to show heightened intolerance towards cases of non-compliance with safety rules in your surroundings, as the consequences can cost human lives, including your own or that of your loved ones.

My condolences to the families who have suffered losses during this period.”
