Not All Captives Linked to November 16 Incident, Human Rights Defender on Returned Soldiers

Human rights defender Siranush Sahakyan firmly claims that more than thirty individuals have been captured by Azerbaijan. “Our repatriation already confirmed that our factual data corresponded to reality,” she stated during a press conference.

“Not everyone is connected to the November 16 incident. At least eight are related to the November 16 events, meaning that already 18 individuals have been returned due to the November 16 incident. We expect around 12 more, perhaps a bit more,” the human rights defender added.

It is worth recalling that yesterday, Azerbaijan handed over 10 Armenian soldiers to Armenia through the mediation of the European Union.
