Macron Welcomes Return of 10 Armenian Prisoners of War to Armenia
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the release of 10 Armenian prisoners of war by Azerbaijan on December 19, and their return to Armenia, in a Twitter post.
“10 Armenian soldiers have been released. I want to acknowledge the decisive actions of the European Union, through which we will continue to advance the dialogue pathway that leads to peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are moving forward,” Macron stated.
Earlier, it was reported that 10 Armenian prisoners of war returned to their homeland with the mediation of European Council President Charles Michel. They had been captured on November 16.
