In France, Some Circles Claim Macron's Wife is Transgender: Brigitte Macron to Sue Those Spreading the Rumors
The wife of the French President, Brigitte Macron, intends to file a complaint against those spreading rumors that the First Lady is actually a man who has undergone gender reassignment, reports BFMTV, citing sources close to her.
According to the report, misinformation has been circulating on social media, actively supported by far-right advocates. They claim that Macron's wife is actually transgender, asserting that she was born a man named Jean-Michel Trogneux (Trogneux is the maiden name of the First Lady).
It turns out this information first appeared in the magazine Faits & Documents, which is known for its ties to conspiracy circles. Brigitte Macron was once Macron’s French teacher. She is 24 years older than her husband. The couple does not have children together, but Macron has adopted three children from his wife's first marriage.
