Citizen Arrested for Theft from the Home of Aghvan Hovsepyan: What Was Stolen?

On December 18, at 10:00 AM, the police received a report that a break-in had occurred in one of the private houses in the village of Byurakan. Previously, it had been reported that the house belongs to Aghvan Hovsepyan, the former Chief Prosecutor of Armenia and former head of the Investigative Committee.

The police informed 'Haykakan Jamanak' that an operational-investigative group dispatched to the scene clarified that between 7:00 PM on December 17 and 10:00 AM on December 18, the perpetrators entered the Byurakan community's 3rd street private house using technical means to open a window, stealing alcoholic beverages and souvenirs.

During the execution of operational data, a resident of Byurakan was apprehended on December 18 at 2:30 PM. He confessed during the preliminary investigation that he committed the mentioned residential burglary and also presented the stolen alcoholic beverages and souvenirs from his home. He has since been arrested. An investigation is underway.
