Iran Considers Alternative Route to Europe via Armenia
The Iranian ambassador in Baku, Seyed Abbas Mousavi, has announced the activation of a new corridor between Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Black Sea, and Europe.
"After the pilot launch of the North-South corridor (Finland, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Persian Gulf, and India), the corridor will become active between Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey," the diplomat stated in a post on Twitter.
It was previously reported that the agenda included the opening of a route from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea through Iran, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Just a year ago, Armenia was also part of this project.
