Human rights defender Zhanna Aleksanyan's post: “From the very beginning, it was clear that Hayk Marutyan differed from the CPP team, both in his character and urban culture. To me, his persona resonates with our city. Of course, I never thought that this could be a reason for his dismissal. However, the intolerance within the CPP team is increasing, and any difference from them is becoming unacceptable. For instance, I like that Marutyan does not take his mayoral position too seriously. He wants to see the joy and appreciation of Yerevan residents when doing something good, he wants to be loved and has somewhat succeeded in this. By the way, there was a similar trait in Nikol Pashinyan, but over time it completely disappeared. He no longer needs that love.”
