Earthquake Near the Georgia-Armenia Border Region

On December 17, at 11:10 AM local time (07:10 AM GMT), the seismic protection territorial service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake in the Georgia-Armenia border area, 14 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 kilometers and a magnitude of 2.6. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral area was measured at 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the Bavra village of the Shirak region at a strength of 3 points, and in the Zuygakhbyur village at a strength of 2 points.
