Diana Grigoryan Reelected

The first session of the newly elected council of the enlarged community began with the swearing-in ceremony of the head of Vagharschapat, Diana Gasparyan. Citizens were also present at the session, in addition to the newly elected council members. Diana Gasparyan received a vote to serve another five years during the local self-government elections on December 5.

The 'Civil Contract' party secured 15 seats, the 'Ejmiatsin' party alliance obtained 10, and the 'Patriot' party received 2 mandates. Addressing the opposition wing of the council, the mayor urged them to work in a spirit of cooperation and to be constructive for the well-being of the community and its residents.

Diana Gasparyan pledged to perform her duties honestly and diligently, serving the prosperity of the community. Ongoing projects range from street asphalting and paving to the renovation of kindergartens. New programs are on the horizon.
