Attempted Murder in Yerevan: Investigative Committee Provides Details

On December 14, at 12:17 PM, a call was received from a medical center regarding a 23-year-old young man who was admitted with a diagnosis of "penetrating stab wound to the left side of the chest, minimal pneumothorax, subcutaneous emphysema of the chest wall, non-penetrating stab wound to the left side of the chest, soft tissue injury of the left temporal region, and a lacerated wound." This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

As a result of urgent measures taken, several circumstances of the case were clarified, including the identity of the person who committed the apparent crime, who is a 21-year-old resident of Yerevan.

It was noted that the second investigative department of the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts of the Yerevan investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case concerning the attempted murder in Yerevan under the first part of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code.

The 23-year-old has been recognized as the victim in the case. An examination of the crime scene has been conducted, video footage from the surveillance cameras present at the scene has been reviewed, witnesses have been interrogated, and a forensic examination has been appointed to clarify circumstances of significant importance for the criminal case.

The pre-investigation continues. Measures are being taken to clarify all the details of the incident and ensure an objective and comprehensive investigation. A directive has been issued to the investigating body to locate the 21-year-old suspect and present him to the prosecuting authority.
