27-Year-Old Driver Hits Child Holding Mother's Hand in Yerevan

Today, on December 17, a pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 9:10 AM, a 27-year-old resident of Yerevan, Ruben A., hit a pedestrian with his Nissan Tiida on Sherami Street.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene but called for an ambulance via Yerevan’s 1-03 emergency services. He assisted the arriving medical team in transporting the injured child, approximately 10 years old, to the «Surp Astvatsamayr» medical center. Afterward, the driver reported the incident to the police.

The driver underwent a sobriety test and was found to be sober.
