Two Suicide Attempts Prevented in Yerevan
On December 15, while on duty, the officers of the 3rd battalion of the patrol service of the Yerevan garrison approached by citizens who reported that a man had crossed the dangerous edge of the "Victory" Bridge and was attempting to jump off.
According to Shamshyan.com, the officers negotiated with the man standing beyond the barrier, successfully bringing him back to a safe area. He was then taken to the Central Police Department.
According to G. Shamshyan, the individual is a 25-year-old resident of Gegharkunik Province, named Razmik P. Materials are being prepared in connection with the incident at the Central Police Department.
On December 16, at approximately 1:40 AM, officers from the 4th battalion of the patrol service noticed that a man had crossed the barrier of the Kiyevan Bridge and was threatening to jump.
As a result of the officers' swift actions, another suicide attempt was successfully prevented, and the individual was taken to the Mashtots Police Station.
It turned out that he was 48-year-old Arthur M. from Shirak Province. Materials are also being prepared regarding this case at the Mashtots Police Station.
