Tragic Incident in Gegharkunik Province: 62-Year-Old Driver Dies Suddenly While Driving

On December 15th, a tragic incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 10:00 PM, the Martuni Medical Center notified the Martuni police department that they had received the body of a man who was pronounced dead.

According to shamshyan.com, the head of the Gegharkunik regional police department, Artur Mkrtchyan, and the head of the Martuni police department, Stepan Hakobyan, were dispatched to the hospital. Police officers and investigators determined that the deceased was 62-year-old Avetik G., a resident of Gegharkunik Province, who, on the same day at approximately 9:15 PM, had lost control of his VAZ 2121 vehicle on the 65th km segment of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway, specifically on Kamoy Street. He crashed into two parked vehicles owned by local residents: a 33-year-old named Karen N. and a 26-year-old named Sasun N., both driving Opels.

According to preliminary information, Avetik G. died suddenly while driving.
