Pensions and Benefits Will Increase
During the Cabinet meeting, the draft decision on amending the decisions N 1734-N of December 30, 2010, and N 1489-N of December 26, 2013, was discussed and approved. The draft proposes to set the minimum pension amount starting from January 1, 2022, as follows:
- the minimum pension amount to be 28,600 drams (up from 26,500 drams),
- the military pension amounts for soldiers in mandatory military service who are disabled:
- for the first group of disabled individuals, 43,000 drams (up from 40,000 drams),
- for the second group of disabled individuals, 33,000 drams (no change),
- for the third group of disabled individuals, 30,000 drams (up from 27,000 drams).
- the military pension amount for the family member of a deceased (killed) soldier in mandatory military service, in case of loss of breadwinner, will be 30,000 drams (up from 27,000 drams).
It is also proposed to increase the amounts for old-age, disability, and loss of breadwinner benefits to set them at 28,600 drams (up from 26,500 drams), and for persons recognized as disabled children, to 37,000 drams (up from 26,500 drams).
