All Candidates of CP and Republic Parties Submit Withdrawal Applications in Vedi
All candidates for the city council from the "Civil Contract" and "Republic" parties in Vedi have submitted applications for withdrawal. This information was announced by Garik Sargsyan, the mayoral candidate from the "Civil Contract" party at the local government elections.
"We have submitted withdrawal applications to the No. 13 Territorial Electoral Commission on behalf of all candidates from the proportional lists of the "Civil Contract" and "Republic" parties. The applications will be discussed today at 11:00 AM during a meeting convened by the territorial electoral commission. We are taking this step with a deep awareness, to overcome the well-known deadlock situation. With this, we have tried to nullify all possible risks," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Recall that according to the results of the local government elections held on December 5, the "My Powerful Community" party received the most votes in Vedi, with 8,666 votes cast in its favor. The "Civil Contract" party received 7,690 votes, while the "Republic" party garnered 3,299 votes. No single party received enough votes to form a government independently.
