Seven Dead and Injured in Major Accident in Russia

A serious traffic accident occurred in the Republic of Kalmykia, part of the Russian Federation. According to RIA Novosti, citing the main department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic, seven people have died as a result of a collision between two passenger cars, with three more injured.

The accident took place on the Astrakhan-Stavropol highway. Initial reports indicate that the crash involved a Hyundai Solaris and a Toyota Vitz, resulting in the fatalities of seven individuals.

According to agency sources, five of the deceased were in the Toyota, while two were in the Hyundai. Additionally, three more passengers from the Hyundai have been hospitalized.
