Pashinyan Participates in the 6th Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the 6th Eastern Partnership Summit at the European Council in Brussels. The event included leaders from Eastern Partnership countries such as Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Azerbaijan, as well as heads of EU member states.
Before the start of the plenary session, a photo opportunity was held for the leaders of the Eastern Partnership countries with President of the European Council Charles Michel, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and Slovenia’s Prime Minister Janez Janša, who is currently holding the EU presidency.
At the beginning of the plenary session, Charles Michel addressed the summit participants with welcome remarks, followed by speeches from the leaders of Eastern Partnership countries and EU member states. In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the cooperation with the European Union within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, the institutional reforms being implemented in our country, the steps towards strengthening democracy, programs for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, infrastructure development, as well as developments occurring in the South Caucasus region.
The 6th Eastern Partnership Summit focuses on support in five key areas: economy, governance, environment, digitalization, and societies.
