Former MP Assaults 46-Year-Old Man with Fists and Weapon Handle, Victim Reports to Police
According to Shamshyan.com, on December 14, as a result of explanatory work carried out by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Arabkir Police, a former MP, businessman, and known as 'MAP's Alik,' Aleksan Petrosyan's son, 39-year-old Makar P. and 46-year-old Levon K. presented themselves to the Arabkir Police. A criminal case has been initiated against them based on Article 133, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (illegal deprivation of liberty).
The investigation department of the Arabkir Police has forwarded the criminal case to the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Arabkir Investigation Division in Yerevan.
It is worth recalling that on December 13, around 23:35, the police received a report from the 'Nairi' Medical Center that a citizen had been admitted with a diagnosis of 'hematoma in the head area and contusions.' The officers of the Arabkir Police identified the injured person as Samvel T., who told the authorities that he had been assaulted by Makar P., the son of former MP Aleksan Petrosyan, and Levon K. at the 'MAP' company's office located at 8 Komitas Avenue. According to his statement, during an argument, they unlawfully deprived him of his liberty, striking him with their hands, feet, and the handle of a weapon, causing bodily injuries.
