Changes are Being Made to Vehicle Inspection Procedures and Timelines

On December 15, a meeting of the Permanent Committee on Production and Infrastructure Issues of the Artsakh National Assembly was held, chaired by committee chairman Vladimir Kasyan. The National Assembly of Artsakh reports that the agenda included a package of legislative drafts concerning amendments to the law on “Ensuring Road Traffic Safety”, modifications to the law on “State Fees”, and changes to the law on “Environmental Fee Rates”. The need for these amendments is driven by the urgent need to resolve existing issues in the technical inspection process.

The package of legislative drafts was developed by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh. It has been accepted in the first reading. Two proposals made by MPs regarding the timelines for conducting the inspections were accepted and taken into account by the authors of the draft.

After clarifications from Minister Hayk Khanyan, the draft package was put to a vote and received the approval of the Permanent Committee on Production and Infrastructure Issues of the National Assembly. It will be presented for discussion at the upcoming regular session.
