Video: Powerful Explosion, 54 Dead as Crowd Attempts to Steal Fuel from Tanker in Haiti

A fuel tanker exploded in Haiti, resulting in the deaths of more than 54 people. According to local media reports, the victims were attempting to loot the overturned truck. The vehicle had an accident in the central district, after which a crowd of around 100 rushed towards the fuel tanker to take advantage of the situation for free fuel. However, they were unable to carry away the spoils as the truck exploded. The fire spread to approximately 20 nearby houses, and the number of casualties in those buildings is still unknown. The Prime Minister of Haiti has declared three days of mourning.
