Two Accused in Yaponchik's Murder Sentenced to 15 and 16 Years in Prison

A Moscow court has sentenced two individuals accused of murdering the 'thief-in-law' Yaponchik to 15 and 16 years in prison, respectively. This information was reported by TASS.

The defendants, Murtazi Shadanian and Jambul Janashian, in the case of the murder of Vyacheslav Ivankov, known as Yaponchik, will serve their sentences in a high-security prison. Additionally, the court has imposed a one-year restriction on their freedom.

Shadanian and Janashian are accused of stalking the deceased, studying his lifestyle and routes. They acquired a sniper rifle, ammunition, and a vehicle necessary for carrying out their plans to eliminate the authority figure.

On July 28, 2009, Koka Gazeaeva, Murtazi Shadanian, Nugzar Papava, and Jambul Janashian arrived at the 'Taiwanese Elephant' restaurant. When Ivankov exited the establishment, a 'Gazelle' car approached him, from which Astamur Butban fired several shots at Yaponchik. The 'thief-in-law' died in a hospital in early October.
