Tragic Car Accident in Gegharkunik Region: Collision Between VAZ 2107 and Lada Results in One Fatality and Two Injuries

Today, December 13, a tragic car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At around 11:10 AM, vehicles VAZ 2107 and Lada collided on the 8.5 km stretch of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, one person died at the scene, while two others were transported to the 'Sevan' medical center.

The on-duty medical team from Sevan Hospital acted promptly, providing first aid to the injured at the scene before their transfer to the hospital.

Currently, a detailed inspection of the crash site is being conducted by senior investigators Levon Nazaryan and Andranik Mkheyan from the Sevan investigative department.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Sevan investigative department under Article 242, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code. By the investigator's instructions, the vehicles were towed to the special area maintained by the Sevan police department.

Authorities are working to determine the identities of the drivers, the deceased, and the injured.
