Newly Appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science Declares Apartment in the Iberian Peninsula

By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Alfred Kocharyan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.

According to MediaHub.am, it becomes evident from the declaration of the newly appointed deputy minister that he has purchased an apartment in Alicante, one of the most famous tourist cities in the Iberian Peninsula, known for its historical and cultural monuments. It is noteworthy that Alicante is located in the Valencia Autonomous Community of Spain and serves as the administrative center of the same-named province, which is situated on the Mediterranean coast.

Kocharyan declared the apartment in Spain for both 2019 and 2020. Additionally, it is reported that he also declared an apartment in Yerevan for the same years. In 2020, Kocharyan declared financial means amounting to 2,039,916.50 AMD.

As of the day of cessation of official duties in 2021, Kocharyan also declared property, income, and expenditures, which included a 2009 model BMW car, classified as protected.

From 2019 to 2021, Kocharyan served as the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Tourism within the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia.
