Electrocuted Wife Murder: Details of the Brutal Killing in Yerevan

ArmLur.am has learned that in Yerevan, a man has been arrested for electrocuting his wife to death. According to the investigative body, Arshen Kalantaryan has been charged with the crime that occurred on September 5, 2021. On that day, Arshen and his wife, Evgenia Yasoyan, were in their apartment located at 10 Nelson Stepanyan Street in Yerevan.

On the same day, around 8:00 AM, Arshen Kalantaryan allegedly placed a chair in front of an electrical socket in the hallway with the direct intention to unlawfully kill his wife, Evgenia Yasoyan, through electrocution. He then moved his wife onto the chair and used an electrical cable found in the apartment to attach it to her right and left wrist fingers. After connecting the cable to the socket, Evgenia Yasoyan sustained life-threatening injuries in the form of electric shocks to her right wrist's 1st and 5th fingers and the left wrist's 1st, 2nd, and 5th fingers, resulting in her death.

The investigative body has made a decision in this case and has sent it to the court.
