Turkey Discovers Oil Field

An oil field has been discovered on the Turkey-Syria border. This was announced in a statement published on the Twitter account of Turkey's TPAO national oil company.

"A new field has been found on the Turkey-Syria border. During the exploration of the Guneyurdu-1 well, located 32 km east of the Nusaybin district in the Mardin province, we have discovered heavy oil with a density of 11.8 degrees on the API scale," the statement reads.
