Armenia Reaffirms Its Position on the '3+2' Platform: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On December 10, the first meeting aimed at the establishment of a regional consultative platform took place in Moscow at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Representatives from Armenia, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey participated in the meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
The discussions revolved around the potential frameworks for regional cooperation, which included issues related to the economy, transport, culture, and humanitarian fields.
Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahe Gevorgyan reaffirmed the Armenian side's position that the agenda of the regional consultative platform should focus on the development of a mutually beneficial and comprehensible framework for regional cooperation, while avoiding duplications of activities from other international platforms, including formats with conflict resolution mandates.
It was agreed to continue consultations based on the need to respect the rights of all countries in the region and their engagement.
