Request Filed to Release Mikitar Zakharyan from Custody

A request has been submitted to the Syunik Regional Court for the immediate release of former Meghri community leader and MP Mikitar Zakharyan from custody. This was reported by his attorney, Yerem Sargsyan.

“Mikitar Zakharyan has been unlawfully held in custody for several months. Despite the fact that the court is obligated to release him immediately even without a petition, we have filed this request to avoid unnecessary delays. I hope that the court will respond quickly this time and will not await any instructions,” Sargsyan stated.
