Low Intensity Gunfire in Several Directions of the Border, Military Equipment Accumulation in Vardenis

According to MediaHub.am, the situation remains tense in various directions of the border. Currently, there is low-intensity gunfire in the border areas of Vardenis, Goris, Meghri, Eghegnadzor, and Ararat.

In certain directions of the border, the enemy has accumulated military equipment, particularly towards the villages of Kut, Norabak, and Verin Shorja in Vardenis.

No new casualties have been reported from the Armenian side.

Earlier, in an interview with 24News, Hakob Avetyan, the head of the Geghamasar community in Gegharkunik province, mentioned that Azerbaijani armed forces have amassed a significant amount of equipment towards the border village of Norabak in Gegharkunik, where today the enemy had begun intensive fire towards our positions.

Avetyan stated that there have been no shots fired in the direction of the village and that the situation has been calm along the border for about an hour.

Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Defense, but received no comments and were advised to follow only the official information provided by the ministry.

It is worth noting that according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, since 16:25, the Azerbaijani side has opened intensive fire using various calibers of firearms towards the Armenian positions located in Gegharkunik province along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Armenian side has responded with appropriate actions. As a result of provocations carried out by the enemy units, two servicemen from the Armenian side sustained minor gunshot wounds.

As of 18:00, the gunfire has ceased.
