Assistants of the 'Armenia' Faction in Parliament Invited to NSS
The assistants of the 'Armenia' faction lawmakers in the National Assembly have been invited to the National Security Service (NSS) to provide explanations regarding the fight that occurred in Parliament yesterday.
Specifically, Gerasim Vardanyan, the assistant to MP Tadevos Avetisyan, Sevak Nazaryan, the assistant to MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan, and Taron Nazaryan, the assistant to MP Armenuhi Kyureghyan have been called in.
It is noteworthy that on December 7, the assistant of MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan reported to the media that while passing through the corridor, he heard noises and upon approaching, saw that members of the ruling faction were beating three assistants of opposition MPs in the office of Vice President Ruben Rubinyan. He specifically identified Vahagn Aleksanyan, Hrachya Hakobyan, and also saw Sisak Gabrielian among the assailants. He claimed that security personnel were present during the incident but did not intervene.
According to him, the beaten included the assistants of Armenuhi Kyureghyan, Tadevos Avetisyan, and Ishkhan Saghatelyan, including Gerasim Vardanyan.
Following the incident, a protest was held outside the National Assembly building, where participants demanded that the MPs involved in the incident come down and explain themselves, ultimately calling for their mandates to be relinquished within a reasonable timeframe.
