Details of the Putin-Biden Meeting

The White House has provided details regarding the outcomes of the negotiations between U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It has been reported that the leaders of the two countries discussed the situation at the Ukrainian border, strategic stability, issues concerning cyber attacks using coercive programs, as well as regional matters such as Iran.

Biden expressed deep concern of the U.S. and its allies regarding the buildup of Russian military forces around Ukraine.

“The president made it clear that the United States and its allies would respond decisively with economic and other measures in the event of military escalation against Ukraine,” the White House statement said.

Biden called for a return to diplomatic means for de-escalation and resolving the conflict.
