Black Ice, Closed Roads: The Situation in the Republic

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

The road from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Kari Lake is closed.

Due to the danger of rockfalls, the road from Zovuni village to Korean Gorge is temporarily closed.

There are sections of black ice on the Vanadzor-Tashir highway in the area known as the Stepannavan bends, as well as on the Vanadzor-Dilijan and Artik-Alagyaz highways.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
