Armenia and Lithuania Sign Military Cooperation Program

On December 2, consultations on the planning of Armenian-Lithuanian bilateral cooperation in the defense sector were held at the administrative complex of the Armenian Ministry of Defense. The discussions involved delegations led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Armenian Ministry of Defense's Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation, and Andrius Purvanetskas, Head of the International Relations and Operations Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

During the consultations, issues concerning regional security and international developments, as well as the cooperation between the defense ministries of Armenia and Lithuania, were discussed. Levon Ayvazyan presented the situation along Armenia's borders and the necessary steps for reducing tension.

The participants of the meeting summarized the work done in previous years within the framework of bilateral cooperation and discussed opportunities for further development of cooperation.

Based on the agreements reached, a bilateral military cooperation program for 2022 was signed between Armenia and Lithuania, which includes 71 activities to be implemented in Armenia and Lithuania. The activities relate to the exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest, personnel training, military medicine, and defense consultations.
