PHOTOGRAPH: Pashinyan does not inform the public about the truth regarding delimitation and demarcation, says '5165' movement
The '5165' movement has issued a statement, noting:
"On November 22, members of the '5165 movement' and a group of citizens of the Republic of Armenia submitted a written request to the Government, demanding the public disclosure of the content of the document mentioned by Nikol Pashinyan regarding the delimitation and demarcation between the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the application, we expressed our concerns related to the document, which pertain to the possible surrender of vital territories, strategic communication routes, and heights to the adversary, as well as the recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan.
On November 23, Nikol Pashinyan announced during a live broadcast regarding our demand that the document he referred to pertains only to the establishment of a commission dealing with delimitation and demarcation. We clarified multiple times that our request is undoubtedly related not to the fact of forming a commission, but to the maps, principles, and the acceptable and unacceptable concessions for the Armenian side (red lines) underlying its work. There is no doubt that Nikol Pashinyan understood all this. He certainly understood that our demand pertains to the mechanisms of delimitation and demarcation, which are to be specified by the end of the year, according to the statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the trilateral meeting and signed statement that took place in Sochi on November 26.
On November 29, we received a letter from the Prime Minister's office stating that the document referred to in our request to the Government does not exist, and that Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this during an interview broadcast by Public Television on November 23.
This response is further proof that: 1. Despite being fully aware of the essence of the public's legitimate demand, Nikol Pashinyan does not disclose the entire truth regarding delimitation and demarcation, nor regarding what is expected concerning the issue of Artsakh and the territorial matters of the Republic of Armenia, even though he previously promised to come forward and inform the public. 2. Once again, the real agreements reached behind his back are being concealed from the public. 3. Nikol Pashinyan unacceptably makes unilateral decisions on crucial national issues without involving the other branches of power in this process, effectively usurping all authority," states the announcement.
