When It Comes to Taking Real Action, the Authorities Invent a Thousand Reasons to Succeed in Derailing This Project, Abrahamyan
Member of the National Assembly’s "Honor Bound" faction Tigran Abrahamyan wrote on his Facebook page: "At today’s meeting of the National Assembly’s Defense and Security Committee, a bill was discussed that would allow military personnel to receive emergency medical care without delay. The bill was presented by my colleague Taguhi Tovmasyan.
In expressing my approach, I emphasized that this not only stems from enhancing the attractiveness of military professions but also aims to lighten the already overwhelming schedules of service members. Furthermore, I believe that family members of military personnel should also receive healthcare services on an urgent basis.
Those who have been in contact with service duties or have military personnel in their circle know what kind of intense daily life these individuals lead, how little time they have to spend at home, and how little they can enjoy family life. In the end, we talk so much about elevating the role of military personnel and their special status in society, and generally about being indebted to them; however, when it comes to taking real steps, the authorities invent a thousand reasons to thwart even this initiative, which doesn’t even carry a financial burden.
It seems that some issues should be adopted even without questioning, but it turns out that is not the case. Well, in this political climate, nothing is surprising, just to note. Regardless of the authorities’ resistance, I will do everything I can to elevate the roles of military members and to alleviate and support issues related to them."
