VIDEO. Death Toll Rises Due to Storm in Turkey

A strong storm has hit several provinces in Turkey, particularly around the Aegean and Marmara Sea regions, resulting in at least five fatalities. This has been reported by Interfax.

It is noted that in Istanbul, the fierce winds have claimed the lives of at least four individuals, including one foreigner. In Zonguldak province, one person has died, and another 19 have been injured.

The storm has caused significant damage to the Greater Istanbul region; a clock tower has collapsed, several fishing boats have been destroyed, and highways have been flooded. Due to adverse weather conditions, the Sabiha Gokcen Airport located in the Asian part of the city has been closed.
