Frank Williams, Founder of Formula 1's Williams Team, Passes Away

Frank Williams, the founder and former head of the Formula 1 Williams team, has passed away at the age of 79, as reported by the team's official website.

The Williams press office announced that the former team principal was hospitalized on Friday, November 26, and died surrounded by family on November 28.

Formula 1 chairman and CEO Stefano Domenicali referred to Williams as "a true giant of our sport." Williams became disabled in 1986 due to injuries sustained in a car accident in France.
