The Decision Must Be Cancelled: Arthur Sakunts

Human rights defender Arthur Sakunts stated on his Facebook page: “Given the numerous funding issues in the education sector—at schools and vocational institutions—where funding volumes have actually been reduced at the end of the year, and where there are financial problems in institutions providing social services, as well as underfunding, when unresolved issues still exist at border service posts, and when soldiers are not provided with basic conditions, the decision to acquire a new service vehicle for the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia must be cancelled. This is completely incompatible with basic human logic and respect.”

Let me remind you that just days ago, an urgent decision was made to purchase a 2011 BMW 750 xDrive LCi for the Speaker of the National Assembly, as the justification stated that keeping the old vehicle is costly. The new car will cost 90 million drams.
