Vayq's Ruling Party Candidate Accused of Stealing Tiles - 'Zhoghovurd'

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' writes that the main reasons leading to unprecedented defeats of the ruling party in the local elections seem to be becoming clearer. The primary reason is the weak candidates in the regions, but especially in the expanding community of Vayq, the past of the ruling party's candidate is quite impressive.

The issue is that the ruling party candidate, Mkhitar Matevossian, is known in the Vayq region as a person with a 'criminal' past, who, while being the director of 'Mavshin' LLC, intentionally embezzled large sums of money from the state through deceptive means, by including unperformed works in execution sheets during construction work, receiving an excess of 4,055,498.4 AMD from the state budget, causing particularly significant material damage to the state.

This is not all; during a survey conducted by us in Vayq, locals revealed that Mkhitar was involved in a very ridiculous case from the early 2000s, where he was accused of stealing tiles during construction work on the house of judge Tofik Samsonich in Vayq. Our sources insist that the situation in Vayq is very similar to that in Kapan and Goris, where border villages have increased and people will want to see someone non-governmental and with a relatively clean past in their enlarged community, and they will not vote for Mkhitar Matevossian, who views Vayq as a spare option while moving his family to Yerevan.

Our sources from the security forces report that they tried to convey to political leadership about their wrong choice, as there is no trust in Mkhitar among the people. They talk about how Vayq's poor budget will not be able to withstand Mkhitar's hands (presumably due to his past). Those in the security forces are confident that the assessment of the objective situation they presented has 'gotten lost' along the way and did not reach the country's top officials; otherwise, such a terrifying and unpromising step would not have been taken in Vayq.

By the way, one of the citizens also humorously mentioned that in his youth he used to steal the pots of their village ovens, so how could this person be a leader?
