Significant Developments Following Judges' Discussions on the Confiscation of Illegal Property
According to the daily newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', an internal professional discussion among judges raised concerns regarding the confiscation of illegal property. Judges expressed that they are not willing to seize anyone's property claiming it to be illegal, providing their reasoning for such a stance.
They shared their opinions that the law contains many poorly articulated phrases. Consequently, as reported by 'Zhoghovurd', these internal discussions among judges have concluded with noteworthy developments.
The President of the Court of Appeal, Levon Grigoryan, and the President of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court, Rouzanna Hakobyan, personally visited the Supreme Judicial Council. They met with the Acting Head of the Council, Gagik Jhangiryan, to convey the judges' serious dissatisfaction regarding these cases, stating that they should not be expected to do more with these matters.
This implies they explained to Jhangiryan that they would not interfere with anyone's property under an inadequately written law.
