Why ‘Kanakertsi Tuy’ and the Former MP Were Killed: Key Witness Refuses to Testify

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' writes: It has been 12 days since the murder of criminal authority Kanakertsi Tuy, Arthur Ghazaryan, and former parliament member 61-year-old Artyush Simonian, yet the pre-trial investigation body has not released any hypotheses regarding the shocking gunshots that resulted in the deaths of four individuals. This incident raises numerous questions about what the investigative authorities might be hiding or fearing, as no theories about the murders have been made public so far.

According to information obtained by 'Zhoghovurd', the sons of the deceased MP have refused to testify thus far. Furthermore, we have learned that the testimony of one of the most crucial witnesses in the criminal case is pivotal to understanding the dispute between the criminal authority and the MP's sons, which ended fatally for four people. This key witness is also reportedly refusing to give a statement to law enforcement, seemingly 'going into hiding'.

It is worth mentioning that on November 11, gunshots were heard in one of the private houses in Kanaker, resulting in the death of four individuals, while three others were hospitalized with various injuries. Among the deceased were the criminal authority Kanakertsi Tuy, Arthur Ghazaryan, and former MP Artyush Simonian. The injured included the late MP's son, Vladimir Simonian. Notably, the shots were fired right at the former MP's house.

It should be noted that Artyush Simonian was elected to parliament in 2003 from the Kanaker-Zeytun electoral district.

Additionally, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, four of whom are the sons of the murdered MP.
