VIDEO: Strong Explosion at Factory Near Belgrade, Casualties Reported
A powerful explosion occurred at a factory producing anti-hail rockets near Belgrade, resulting in 16 injuries and two fatalities, according to RIA Novosti, referencing the Serbian Ministry of Interior.
The explosion took place at 5:00 PM Yerevan time in the Bubanj Potok area, located at the southern entrance of the Serbian capital. The Ministry of Interior reported that 11 vehicles and 36 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
"Emergency services have stabilized the aftermath of the explosion, which occurred at the missile factory on the Leshtani regional road. As per the latest information, two people have died, and 16 others have been injured," quoted the commander of the Belgrade Fire and Rescue Brigade, Milos Majstorovic.
According to him, the blasts occurred in a warehouse covering an area of 240 square meters, which housed 500 anti-hail rockets, each containing 30 kg of explosives.
