VIDEO: Armed Hooliganism on Moldovan Street in the Capital

On November 12, shortly after midnight, a woman who called the police reported that a fight was taking place on Moldovan Street and that gunshots were heard. Emergency response teams from the Yerevan police department and the Nor Norq division quickly arrived at the scene.

Following operational information, investigators from the Yerevan police department and the Nor Norq division established that young men aged between 24 and 27 were arguing in a computer gaming hall, during which they assaulted each other, causing bodily harm. Forensic examinations were ordered.

A criminal case has been initiated under two articles of the criminal code: hooliganism and illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition. During the pre-investigation, a decision was made to involve and arrest four individuals as accused.

Through measures taken by the criminal investigators of Nor Norq and explanatory work, two of these individuals presented themselves at the police station and were arrested on November 15. Following further efforts, on November 19, another young man went to the station and handed over the weapon used in the alleged crime, a pistol. He also provided a confession and was detained.

The investigation is ongoing, and the circumstances are being clarified.
