State Duma Urges Not to Punish Doctors Opposing Vaccination

“The doubts of certain doctors should be alleviated by providing them with adequate information regarding the drug,” said Alexey Kurinnin, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma’s Health Protection Committee, in an interview with the radio station "Говорит Москва."

He specifically noted, “I am against doctors being held criminally liable. Most likely, we are talking about information that is widely circulated in society but is false. One of the options is that it may concern someone who doesn't trust the specialist who lacks sufficient data to explain the effectiveness of the vaccination. And if we are talking about those who are simply poorly educated and deny the existence of the virus itself, fighting against chipping or other fabricated fears, then this is a question of the quality of education and professional capabilities.”

Earlier, it was reported that a criminal case could be initiated against 37 individuals in Russia who oppose Covid-19 vaccinations. The regional subdivisions of Roszdravnadzor have forwarded information to the prosecutor's office and investigative committee about those against vaccination.
