Russia to Vaccinate Teenagers as ‘Sputnik M’ Vaccine Approved
The Russian Ministry of Health has registered a coronavirus vaccine intended for teenagers aged 12 to 17. According to Russian media reports, Denis Logunov, the deputy director of the Gamaleya Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, announced the news.
The vaccine for teenagers is called ‘Sputnik M’. Earlier today, during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced the upcoming registration of the vaccine. She stated that teenagers will be vaccinated with parental consent or on their own accord if they are over 15 years old.
It is expected that the vaccine will be available to citizens by the end of December.
