Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine: Which Countries Were Invited to the Summit and Which Were Not
The United States has invited 110 countries to the "Summit for Democracy," scheduled to take place in December. Russian media has also reported on the forthcoming summit.
It indicates that the following former USSR countries have been invited: Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Notably absent from the list are Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The complete list of countries has been published on the official website of the U.S. Department of State. It has also been reported that participants will not include China, Turkey, Hungary (the only EU country on the list), and several countries from Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
