Vanoy Siradeghyan's Remains Will Be Transferred to Armenia Soon, Says Pashinyan

The remains of writer and statesman Vanoy Siradeghyan will be transferred to Armenia in the coming days. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in response to a question regarding why Siradeghyan's remains have not yet returned to Armenia a month after his death, and whether the government intended to 'bring him back' after coming to power.

'You know that a governmental commission has been established for the funeral, which has consulted with members of Siradeghyan's family. The commission has made decisions, and I believe that in the near future, Siradeghyan's remains will be transferred to the Republic of Armenia. I visited Siradeghyan's family, and I expressed my condolences. I knew Siradeghyan and had certain relations with him,' he said.

Regarding the return of Siradeghyan to Armenia, Pashinyan indicated that he had considered that after 2018, Siradeghyan could have been handed over to Armenian law enforcement, as there might have been certain objective procedural conditions.
