There Was an Idea to Hold an Online Trilateral Meeting on November 9: Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that November 9 is a difficult, heavy, and bitter day for us, but if it turns out that we can agree on specific outcomes based on the results of November 9, for example, to resolve the issue of prisoners, he is ready to take that bitterness and participate in the online conference.
“However, when it became clear that we would not be able to reach such an agreement, as the views were different, I simply noted that the symbolism of November 9 is not very good for us and proposed to move the meeting to November 15,” he said.
According to the Prime Minister, before November 15, there was a suggestion to move the meeting to November 26, to which he agreed. After that, the idea arose to organize an in-person meeting instead of an online one, which all three sides agreed to.
Pashinyan recalled that during a National Security Council meeting, he stated that Armenia is ready to negotiate and find solutions. “Sometimes, through symbolic means, Azerbaijan tries to implement a policy of aggressive coercion against Armenia. However, no matter how vulnerable we are, we do not intend to surrender to this policy. Who said that there needs to be a discussion on November 9 and that Armenia should rush?”
